Where it all started, " At The Camp Ground"....

It all started in a conversations with a group of friends during a camp outing. Initially we just discussed about the daily life and necessity on how much volume of wastes that a single individual might generate within a day or so just on beverages. As so, we put up a scenario, where we started off with our regular life routine such as a quick stopover at our local café outlet takeaway in the morning and grabbing some breakfast. By noon, a late lunch takeaway or maybe perhaps a short 15minute coffee break outside, and just right before we decided to head home, a dinner and even a late supper follows,..as takeaway that is. We can imagine the life hectic urbanitez btw....

And from there, we started to figure out how much volume of wastes we generate in a daily basis on meals and beverage packaging such as paper and plastics per individual, and we simplified by adding a scenario average consumption of 4(four) unwanted paper or plastics per day and initially our group here is nine, we then frantically start multiplying, per month and ending up per year (ps; you do the math;) and we quickly learned that all nine(9) of us here had generated at least 252 pieces of unwanted paper or plastics per week and a total of 13,140 pieces in total in a year! It is a remarkable figure for a whole year!!!! That's crazy!

With our mind so bogged down and a moment of short rare silent, it quickly reminded me that this is not the way moving forward letting along the continuing of our wrong doing with no end in sights. In my head, clearly needed a solution well at least try minimizing this unwanted wastes as much as possible before it all landed in our local landfills while at that time setting asides that we don't have a planning nor clue or whatsoever to start with at that point.

Figuring out ''The Idea''

And so, fast forward for a couple of months from our last camp outing and things getting a little bit serious where me and my buddies started surveying methods and potential solutions to the matters especially here in Malaysia. By 1st quarter 2022, we finally decided to come up with an existing product that we can promote and carry it around daily and especially to combat beverages packaging segments which is actually our main focus and objectives and at the same time sending out this messages to any consumers out there the important of minimizing the impact of unwanted wastes whenever they can possible.

`A ''Reusable Bottle'' is key.

Although this reusable bottle segment is widely available and a old age market where you can find it every corner around the world, we persevered and still intended to have a different kind of approach to it. Besides, we opted to simplified the designs, yet it still has the functions and practicalities. But for the most important aspects of all our work here, is to market and get to our the intentions is the need of customers and to become a consumer that understands the important of reducing unwanted wastes whenever possible as they can especially when it comes to consuming beverages when they are outside. Hoping that with the use of our products or without, consumers will have an understanding, the important and the needs and urge to help raise awareness that this unwanted crisis which is happening as we speak.

And by 2nd quarter of 2022, we founded UrbanCraft Water Bottles. It's the simplest yet practically affordable, yet effective method that may or will change the course for a greater need of saving our local environment starting from our very own community area and of course it all has to start from us.

The Design.

As for product designing, we always wanted a funky yet hype up design within a drinkware which means in a unique multiple color ways which is custom produce into production. And to achieve this, we design and hand picked each and every single color combination that might reflects the individual liking it and make it into production. And so, each and every single bottle that comes out from the production line is unique to us. For us, it is not just by looking cool, fun and yet functional on it's own, it also reflex the individual and their personality who carries it.

Our drinkware definitely works well alongside with our daily use by carrying it outdoors, to work, or just tag along with you while travelling abroad as a companion! I mean, Why Not?

We ''LOVE'' our product.

And finally, with this said, we hope this might be a small game changer for every individual out there and on course in replacing the usage of unwanted wastes especially on beverage packaging and most importantly, to encourage and try our very best to self achieve a ''Zero Wastes'' anywhere possible by doing your part and of course ours at UrbanCraft.
